A huge shout out to Chuck Jones, Tim Meyer, and Jeff Seifrig who helped tremendously with the flooded roads and high lake water today.  

WE APPRECIATE YOU!!

Chuck single-handedly removed the tree blocking CR850 so that people could use the front gate. 

Tim and Jeff helped in various ways including making sure the lake drains were clear of debris, allowing the drainage system to work. 

We are very fortunate that the excessive amount of rain did not cause any major damage.

A new AED is available at the entrance to the office/shop. The unit is operational and includes a quick start manual in the enclosure. Thank you to all who helped with input with this process.

Our updated gate system allows us to open gates for an extended period of time. This function is available for every homeowner having family functions. This will allow the gate to remain open for a short period of time. We ask that you submit your request to the office at least five (5) days in advance, including the date and time of day desired.  Please be sure to specify gate number.  We hope this will be one of the many benefits we will share with our new system.     812-536-9272

Trash bins are furnished behind the maintenance building for Homeowners only. Please distribute trash equally between bins so we do not over fill. We are charged extra for bins that are too heavy.  

Please break down ALL boxes and do NOT dump large items. The bins are for household trash only.

Blackfoot Landfill is located at 3726 State Road 64, Winslow, 812-789-2647. The hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. If you have large items, please take them there. 

Pike County residents can obtain a voucher  that is good from May 2026 through April 2027 at the Pike County Solid Waste Department at the courthouse in Petersburg. For more information call 812-354-2924.

Tips for Amazon Deliveries

The following are some tips when ordering from Amazon. This may work for other vendors, but each site is different. This is mainly for Amazon.

1. When you place an order from Amazon, the first thing to do when prompted on the shipping address, is choose “Do not allow delivery on Saturdays or Sundays”. This can minimize the chance that a Flex driver picks up your package. This is not always a sure fire fix, but it helps. 
2. Next, go to your orders and click on”track package”. You will see delivery Info, and  update delivery instructions. Click on this.You can update this section to say where you want your package to go. IE front door, back door etc.
3. Update the next section  Do we need a security code, call box number or key to access this building? Fill this section in with your cell phone number. Make sure to put your landline number (if you still have one) in the call box number area.
4. Now check the little box that asks if a key or FOB is required. They are supposed to get the gate card from their supervisor.
5. Below that is a section, Add more instructions. Click and open this section. You will see  a section that asks if this address is closed for deliveries on Sat or Sun? Click closed.
6. Next is, "Do we need additional instructions to find this address?"  Suggestion to write in this area: "This is a Gated community, delivery drivers should have access  card. Ask supervisor for it. If no card, call (Enter your cell phone #) from gate and I will open gate remotely. Wi-fi is available at all gates.

Make sure to SAVE the instructions. Once you do this, it is saved for every order to this address from here on. They will receive the same directions for every order.
